Polypropylene/ePTFE composite for laparoscopic repair of ventral and incisional hernias

Two distinctly different sides: Polypropylene Bard* Mesh on one side to promote tissue ingrowth and sub-micronic ePTFE on the other side to minimize adhesions to the prosthesis. Elliptically shaped design: Reduces the need to trim the mesh, saving time. Low Profile: Makes it ideally suited for laparoscopic ventral hernia repairs. Sealed Edge: Prevents exposure of the polypropylene mesh side from contact with the bowel, thus potentially reducing the chances of adhesions around the edge of the prosthesis.
